ABOUT

[scroll down]

I am a theatremaker from Aberdeen working as a Director, Acting Tutor and (occasionally) in Performance Research.

I have Fibromyalgia and experience short-term memory loss which is important to me and the way I work.  I perform onstage within these parameters (mostly in long-form improvisation and sometimes in stand-up or short plays or films).  I am a specialist in improv and have worked as an Acting Tutor, Visiting Director and Academic Lecturer for Conservatoires and Universities such as The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview, LAMDA and Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company.

I am sometimes asked to work in Access Consultancy and Support.  I have a lot of experience working with artists with neurodivergence; and am keen to work more with people or narratives with disabilities that are stigmatized as anti-social.

I grew up in a part of Aberdeen connected to Robert the Bruce's Common Good Fund.  (There was a lot of socialism and a kids plunge pool).

I am happy to be put on Arts Council applications. - Feel free to send me an outline to let me know, and I can get back to you with my availability.

I sometimes use a walking stick.
